Nicolson, Chartered Accountants, is the newest name in accountancy in the Western Isles, delivering services in an exciting and innovative manner.  We're young, keen, ambitious, and totally focused on delivery to the clients.

Based in our new premises in the centre of Stornoway, we provide business, taxation and personal advice throughout the Western Isles and the mainland of Scotland and regularly visit Skye, Uist and Barra, and throughout Scotland.

Using our sophisticated IT resources, we can help your business grow and innovate, wherever you are, and whatever size you are. We can deliver services - using the latest technology - to benefit your business. 

We pride ourselves on a very prompt service; completing and delivering accounts quickly; preparing personal and corporate tax returns at the earliest opportunity; meeting your payroll needs; and providing relevant tax planning advice to suit your individual requirements.

Even if you only have a Tax Return to complete, we know just how important that can be for you. Come in and we will help you promptly complete and lodge this with the Inland Revenue, often in just a few minutes. It has taken a lot of work to make it look this easy!

Angus Nicolson has 20 years of practical experience as a chartered accountant, Angus has a vast range of knowledge which he can put to use for clients. Formerly a partner in a larger firm, the opportunity to meet with clients in their own premises was constrained, and Angus now enjoys the freedom to deal with all clients when it suits them. With client throughout the Western Isles - and beyond - Angus travels frequently to visit the wide range of clients, and finds his mobile and laptop invaluable.  If only the whole of the Western Isles had mobile coverage! As well as general practice, Angus has a specialism in the IT sector, and uses his huge experience in delivering IT solutions.

Sue Nicolson has enormous management experience in very senior roles for international organisations, such as Tetra Pak, BT and Deutsche Bank.   Returning to her first love of accountancy, she brings her management accounting training to bear on budgets, forecasts and product costing. Primarily office based, Sue will have responsibility for management accounting, training and client HR issues. Sue also deals with payroll issues currently managing over 1000 employees for various employers of various sizes, both in the UK and beyond. She is an expert on Norwegian Tax, both for employers and employees. Having managed teams of 50 staff over three continents, Sue knows what it takes to run an organisation, and how to prevent it going wrong.
